I made the mistake of agreeing to join as an”associate member” this a.m. I shoujld have listened to the little voice that said probably not a good idea; whatever, I have made three attempts to cancel today with no answer. If you charge me I will dispute the charge, so please save all the hassle and cancel my order immediately.

I thought I was being cute by giving them fraudulent payment info, but they call back that much more often. Now I know why Nancy Reagan told me to “just say no.”
Anyone can publish an Excutive Directory. Go phishing for and thru email addresses of suspects. They will list your name for free. To see the volume that lists your name, however, you have to pay some umpty-ump dollars for the book. Let’s say the price is $45. Get 45 people in one small town to sign up. That’s $450 already. Less overhead of $10 per volume to mass produce, and even less when the volumes are mass produced by the 1000s. Shpiping fees will be approx. $6 per volume or thereabout. So the producer gets about $25 each folume. Per US region that’s about 10K volumes, x 5 regions. These are conservative figures.
If the book was so great as a listing book, then it would be granted for free to the recipient. Hey, not a bad way to make an honest buck! It is an honest buck, no deception. Just left out information. But here is the rub: To confirm information about me you need to present some information to confirm.
