Now this one looks slick. Still the old trojan virus/phishing scheme trick but it does look good and the approach is novel. Even the concept of a “password token” is unique though completely nonsensical (at least to someone who’s never asked to have his Skype password rest). Good for them. A+ for effort.

Skype does have a concept of ‘Password Token’… you have to enter the email address you registered with Skype in the “forgotten password” section… then you get an email very much like this.
Well, I stand corrected. I guess this is probably going to fool a lot of people. Thanks for the heads up.

my e-mail address in the top box, but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?
This is not a spam or phishing attack, this looks like the fully legit email Skype send out if you use their password reset process from this page:
https://login.skype.com/account/password-reset-request
The token is used in case the link they provide doesn’t work with your web browser because as a security feature some browsers don’t allow “get” data to be added to the end of a URL from within an email link.
This should be removed from here before Skype sue you for slander.
I hope you are joking. If not, then by all means click on the link when you get one of these today and enjoy the mess it creates. What you see is not the same as what is executed. What is executed is a phishing/virus attack. Plus the from address is “TerranceMCMAHON@yahoo.se” and the reply to is “AriCuascut@yahoo.se” which is a dead giveaway that it is fake. Plus I tested it personally.
Also they wouldn’t sue me for slander. Slander is spoken. They’d sue for libel. Libel is written. This is written so they’d sue me for libel. So there.
