I just got this e-mail recently too. It amused me. Especially because I decided to trace the IP that the e-mail originated from, and guess what? Nowhere close to Iraq! Actually, it appears that “Sgt. Brown” is located in Hong Kong. Oddly enough, he also seems to be using Katamail, which appears to be an Italian mail server to send his messages, and has a .co.uk Microsoft Live e-mail account set as his reply address.
On an extra note, it seems Katamail is exceptionally popular among 419 scammers. Just Google their site and several of the top responses are about how often the site is used to facilitate 419s.
